Your completed orders and money will be due on Friday, November 17th to Mr. Pongracz in Room 363 or Mr. Feger during homeroom in room 380. Need a bit of motivation?- if you participate and sell at least $20 worth of subs or sandwiches, you will earn $5 off of your prom ticket!”

The final registration for Rec basketball will be held Tuesday, November 28th from 6-8 PM at Manor middle School. Information papers can be picked up in the office.

Don’t forget to come out to tonight’s annual powder puff football game between junior and senior girls! The game starts at 6:30 under the lights over at comet field. Donations are accepted at the gate to go towards the mini-thon fundraiser! We hope to see all of you at the game!

Fan t-shirts for the Powder Puff football game are still being sold at all lunches tomorrow. Cost is ten dollars per t-shirt with the money raised going towards our school Mini-Thon fundraiser. In addition to supporting a great cause, the t-shirt will get your free admission to Thursday’s Powder Puff Football Game!

The Serteen food drive has been extended until tomorrow. Please remember to bring in all canned and dry goods by tomorrow to count for the food drive. Put a reminder in your phone right now. Remember that you can make a difference for families in our community by contributing to the food drive. You can also win your block 1 an ice cream party. So bring in our food drive items tomorrow! The serteen club thanks you!

The Lancaster County Career and Technology Center will be holding an open house today,  Thursday, November 16 from 6-8 pm. All three campus locations will be open for you and your parents to stop by and visit. This is a drop in event. Please see your school counselor with questions.

You should arrive no later than 4:45, and wear black or your show shirt. Our final dress rehearsal for senior citizens will begin at 5:30, so the photo will be taken promptly. Attention staff and students. Buy your powder puff fan shirt for $10 during all lunches today and tomorrow. All money goes to benefit mini-thon. If you buy a tshirt, you will get into the game for free. The game is being played this Thursday night @ 6:30 at Comet Field. Come out to watch the junior girls take on the senior girls.

The Young Humanitarian League is holding a Passion for Puerto Rico fundraiser this Friday, November 17 in the East Gym during all 3 lunches. This event will raise money for Puerto Ricans impacted by Hurricane Maria, which slammed the island on September 20 and caused widespread destruction. In addition to raising money, we would like to use this event to showcase the beauty of Puerto Rico and its people. We invite any students or staff who have connections to the island to share something you love about Puerto Rico! To participate, please see Miss Brady, Mrs. Letavic, or any Foreign Language teacher by the end of the day THIS THURSDAY, November 16 for more details.

Attention theatre students involved in the fall play – AND THEN THERE WERE NONE: Please check your mailbox folder for updated information about show-related business. Also – because we are now running the show in rehearsal each evening, we do not need many crew members to report – only those that have been working on specific tasks during the recent evening rehearsals need to attend. General work on costumes, construction, and marketing has been completed – those students are asked to use SignUpGenius to work as an usher and in the lobby next week at the show. Class of 2019, how do you feel about all the prom expenses thrown at you towards the end of the school year? Dresses, suits, and shoes, don’t pay an extra $70 for a prom ticket! Payments to Penn Manor class of 2019 are due this wednesday, November 8. Delivery will be the week of December 4th. By selling Gertrude Hawk sweets as low as 7 dollars, you can earn a free prom ticket! Remember, this is a competition against the senior class. The highest selling homeroom will receive a pizza party. Don’t let prom tickets reach $70! SELL! SELL! SELL!

This week is the fourth annual Greg Frey Memorial Coat Drive and Greg’s family is asking us to participate. Greg was a Penn Manor High School student who passed away unexpectedly in 2013, his junior year in high school. To honor his memory, the family is requesting donations of gently used or new winter coats, sweaters, scarves, gloves, hats, sweatshirts. There is a large box in the high school library where you can place your donation. The box should be there until Friday this week. The distribution will be on Saturday, November 18 from 9:00am-1:00pm at the Lancaster Labor Council building at 675 Manor Street, Lancaster. Anyone in need of winter outerwear can go to the distribution. Thank you for considering this good cause to help others and to remember Greg.

Did you take the ASVAB on Super Wednesday? If you did, your score results are in! There will be a score interpretation meeting tomorrow (Thursday) during homeroom in room 316. Test takers please bring your computers to this meeting.

Attention travelers: A seat has opened for our June trip to France, and more are available! Please see Mrs. Klingaman in room 210 as soon as possible if you can join us on this fabulous trip!

The Serteen club will be holding a car wash this Sunday at Jack Williams Auto in Millersville from 11am-3pm. Please stop by to get your car washed and make a donation. Penn Manor Boys Cross Country defeated Solanco 20-35 while narrowly losing to Elizabethtown 28-30. The boys were once again led by Nick Fafel, who finished 2nd overall in a P.R. 16:23. Fafel was followed by David Kramer, Aidan Toomey, Zach Schucker, and Marco Rezkalla.

Penn Manor Girls defeated Solanco 21-39, while losing to league powerhouse Elizabethtown 22-35. The girls were paced by Andrea Funk, fifth in 20:48, followed by Arden Morgan, Maddy McCanna, Lauren Zink and Brianna Ulaky.

This week – we continue to celebrate manufacturing day with a simple question. What is manufacturing? Manufacturing the process of making products – especially with machines in factories. Manufacturing is behind all the products we buy and use – as well as provide a source of wealth for a community. Manufacturing is designing machinery, developing products, working with green technology – just to name a few. If these types of ideas are of interest – maybe a career in manufacturing is for you!

Penn Manor Girls were defeated by league powerhouse, Manheim Township, but defeated host, Warwick, 21-39. Penn Manor was led by Andrea Funk (8th overall), Arden Morgan (11th), and Maddy McCanna (12th).

Penn Manor Boys lost 2 close meets to Warwick and Manheim Township Tuesday night. The boys were once again led by Nick Fafel, who finished 2nd overall in a PR of 16:51, followed by David Kramer, 4th in 17:24.

Anyone interested in helping with Costume Crew or Marketing for the fall play, And Then There Were None – we will meet tonight from 6:00-8:00 – meet the group in room 209 at 6:00. Keep an eye on the PM Theatre blog for more scheduled sessions in the coming weeks.

Any theatre students who are interested in participating in the special performance activity at the Barnstormers game this weekend’s game on Friday night – you must sign up and order your tickets by TOMORROW (Wed, Sept 6th) by the end of the school day. Our fall play will be the best-selling story by Agatha Christie – “And Then There Were None” – a suspenseful thriller where ten people are invited to a weekend gathering in a luxurious mansion on a remote island. However, when the guests begin disappearing one by one – it becomes clear that one of the ten people is a murderer… If you want to help keep the audience on the edge of their seats, become a part of this production by auditioning for an onstage role on Wednesday and Thursday this week, or by submitting a crew application by Friday.
