Mary Shelley is a central character in Rona Munro’s adaptation of the Frankenstein story, a realistic portrayal of the psychological drama that incorporates stylistic elements of the time period into stage designs. The action begins as Shelley sits down to write. A student cellist will perform an original score to add ambiance and mystique to the production.

While this is a story of horror, the vision is not gory, but instead, suspenseful and electrifying. Frankenstein’s monster will not reflect the modern version often seen in pop culture but will be more representative of the original novel.

This production will make audiences consider themes of morality and mortality, and the lessons of this story should be the most frightening aspect of the audience’s experience.

There are 80 students involved in this production, including cast members onstage as well as many crew members working behind the scenes. We hope you enjoy the show!
