Support Penn Manor Education Foundation At Heritage Hotel Loxley’s Restaurant

During the month of April you can enjoy a charming dinner out and
support the Penn Manor Education Foundation all at the same time.  The
Heritage Hotel in Centerville and its restaurant, Loxley’s, have agreed
to make the Penn Manor Education Foundation a “Loxley Legend Charity”
for the month of April.

Nothing could be easier and nothing could be as tasty.  All you need
to do is enjoy a night out.  Enjoy a lovely dining experience and a
great meal.  When your check arrives you will note that there is a
small check box at the bottom marked for the Penn Manor Education
Association.  Any patron can simply check the PMEF box and as a result,
Loxley’s will make a contribution to the Penn Manor Education
Foundation representing 5% of the dining expense.

The Penn Manor Education Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the
educational experience for all Penn Manor students.  Through Venture
Grants for classrooms, the Foundation helps your child’s teacher find
innovative, fun and exciting ways to learn.  We are hoping that many
Penn Manor families will find time in April to visit Loxley’s.  The
more the merrier.  It also happens to be a great excuse for not cooking
tonight!

HACC Campus visit


Please join the PMHS counseling department on a college visit to HACC.  On April 26, we will be visiting HACC for a short informational session and a tour of the campus.  Parents and students are welcome to join us on this trip.  For more information please click here.

Course Request Forms

Tomorrow morning, Wednesday, March 24, we will collect signed course request forms during homeroom.   We are asking for students to go to HR tomorrow from 7:40-7:45.
At 7:45, students can travel to their Block 1 class. Block 1 will end at the normal time tomorrow.

Steven’s information session on dual enrollment

There will be a required informational session during homeroom on Tuesday, March 23rd for students and their parents who are interested in attending Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology during their senior year.  This is a great opportunity.  Students could have a year of college completed by the time they graduate from Penn Manor.  Please read the attached form on Stevens for more information on this event.

On-line Course Selection

The on-line course selection window is open until Tuesday, March 16th. Course selection can be completed using the Sapphire Community Portal found through the Penn Manor School District website. Students will receive a printout of the courses they selected in HR on Tuesday, March 23rd. This year, teachers in the core subjects have made recommendations for their students for next school year. If you have concerns about recommended courses or any of the courses available, please use the printout distributed on March 23rd to record any comments or questions. Printouts will be collected on March 24th and 25th. Counselors will be meeting with students who have any scheduling issues, recorded on their printouts, starting the last week of March.

2010 Trumpeter Yearbooks on Sale Now

If you missed the online yearbook sale you can still place your Trumpeter Yearbook Order directly through the high school.

The publisher of the Trumpeter Yearbook is no longer taking online orders.  You can still order a yearbook if you have not done so already. Pre-delivery sales are $75.00 + sales tax (this price is valid only till 4/30/10) and $85.00 + sales tax for May sales including those on Yearbook Distribution Day.

Please make checks out to Trumpeter Yearbook and remember that 6% PA sales tax applies. Pre-delivery orders can be placed in the office at the high school.
